eFinny respects your privacy. This policy describes what we collect, why we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, web app, and related services.
Who this applies to
This policy covers visitors, account holders, and beta testers. You must be at least 18 years old to use eFinny; see our Community Standards for age and safety rules.
Information we collect
- Account data: email, name, and authentication identifiers from our auth provider (Clerk).
- Profile data: photos, bio, interests, date of birth, identity preferences, location (GPS or manual city), and mode-specific fields (Date, BFF, Bizz).
- Verification data: selfie, liveness, and ID-check results from our verification partners (e.g. Didit, Persona) when you opt in.
- Activity data: swipes, matches, messages, calls metadata, reports, blocks, and device/push tokens for notifications.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, app logs, and security signals used to prevent abuse.
How we use information
- Operate Discover, matching, messaging, and smart ranking
- Verify age eligibility and identity where required
- Moderate content, investigate reports, and protect community safety
- Process subscriptions when payments are enabled
- Improve reliability, debug issues, and prevent fraud
We do not sell your personal information.
Smart matching
Discover order may use a compatibility score based on shared interests, intentions, distance, verification status, profile completeness, and activity — not solely on paid status. You can turn off smart matching in Settings.
Sharing & processors
We use trusted service providers (hosting, database, storage, auth, payments, verification, moderation, and video calling) that process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users and the platform.
Retention & deletion
We retain data while your account is active and for a limited period afterward for legal, safety, and backup purposes. You may request deletion by contacting support; some records (e.g. abuse reports) may be kept where the law requires.
Your rights
Depending on your region you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
Children
eFinny is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
